Origional Tires in Snow?

Dunlop what? SP8000s?
If so, they will perform TERRIBLY!! (as in the now you gotta replace your cracked front bumper terrible) I'd get either good all seasons, or preferrably a separate set of winter tires and wheels.

I don't have any experience with Dunlops in snow but...
I got through two winters including last year's terrible snow with Kumho Ecsta 712s. They did just fine although I still wouldn't recommend summer tires in snow. You may be able to move due to the quattro system in your S4 but you will have a real hard time cornering and stopping your car.

I'd agree and go with snows if you can afford them.
I went through two boston winters with 225/40/18 goodyear hp ultras (summer high performance tire) and I had no problems what-so-ever. I could start, stop very well in the snow. Now, I wasn't tracking the car around town when it came down, but just getting from point A to B was easy-going and non-eventful.
But, if you have the $$, snow tires make a lot of difference= at least that's the consensus around here. g'luck! :-)
