Default over-revving

I have a 2001 S4. 2 weeks ago I noticed that under moderate to hard acceleration, shift @ 3k RPM's or higher, the engine briefly revs an additional 200 rpms after pushing in the clutch. The dealership of course told me this was normal, but one of my buddies with an S4 with higher mileage does not have this problem. Anybody know what this might be or possibly experienced this problem?

NO. I did at first think I was not getting my foot of the accelerator quick enough. But that is not the case, even other who have driven it have noticed. It only started to weeks ago-It started the day after I topped of the brake fluid.
