Past 2k, anybody changed oil before 7500 ? dino/synth ??
As with everything, pros and cons.
I have read about the factory oil being a special breaking-in oil, some others speculate it is synth.
How such a basic thing is NOT KNOWN ?
If we knew, I would know what to do about changing oil now and get the debris out.
What's wrong with AOA ?
Is there anyway to find out ?

Re: switched to mobil 1 at 4300 kms (2700 miles)... doesnt burn a drop between changes...
Mine burnt about 1/2 quart when I checked at 1100, now at 2200 it seems to not be burning at all.<p>Jose

just added a quart of mobil 1 last week (~4k miles)
been told it's mobil one from the factory as well as Castrol 10w-40 from people at the *same* dealership. who knows. all i know is that the 2001 manual says 0w-30 so i'm brining along mobil 1 0w-30 with me to my 5k service in a few weeks
