Default People with Bosch Platins installed PLEASE RESPOND...

Got the Bosch plugs installed and they are great. Car pulls much smoother after 4000rpms. The only thing is that idle is very rough, even rougher than stock.

Let me know if anybody experienced this.

P.S. I have X-chip.

Default Are they a "colder" plug?

If so, that may explain your idle problem.

yep, one step colder, but nobody with iridium ones complained. They are colder ones too.

Are platins worth it for stock? How about chipped?

Platins are designed for high boost engines so they will benefit chipped cars more.

Default Coppers are better for High Boost Engines

Copper is a better conductor than platinum, but tend to wear our faster. Many people with heavy mods in the Supra MKIV, Eclipse's groups run simple $1.49 NGK R copper plugs, but swap them out every 10k or so.

For the S4 when taking plugs out is a biatch, platinums are the choice as they have longer service intervals.

Never tested irridium...so I can't tell.

btw...fyi Bosch plats (single electrodes) causes misfires in high boost Eclipse's. Maybe because our engines run on Bosch Motronic that we are spared...but who knows.

Does anyone know if Papa smurf changed to copper recently. He mentioned that he was going to try it out.

Cheers.
