Persistent misfire issue *please help!*
setup: rs4 oem injectors, pj-k04, apr stg 3 software, NGK BKR7EIX gapped to .026
problem: misfire on cylinder 1 only at idle. (logging vag-com groups 015 and 016 real-time) misfires on cylinder 1 hit count 100+ within 60 seconds when the car is idling. if i step on the accelerator pedal the misfire count immediately stops rising.
Logging real time under load (driving the car) misfires are 0. the car does not misfire at all going WOT through the gear and RPM ranges.
troubleshooting done so far:
-changed coil pack from (known working) bank 2 to problem cylinder
-changed spark plugs (replaced with new ones, and checked gap)
-Installed BRAND NEW ICM's and also swapped them around just to be sure
-swapped injectors from cyl 4 (known working cyl) to cylinder 1
Im stumped. I've done what I can for troubleshooting to no avail.
I cant get smog checked since my CEL comes on from this misfire issue.
any ideas?
