For those of you who didn't read my post yesterday, I drove through some water over the weekend and I developed a headlight ballast issue (which has since resolved itself) and some unusual transmission behavior. While I was looking under the car, I noticed that there appeared to be a plug missing, but I have no idea what was once there. See the pictures below; does anyone recognize this? If it's something I should replace, any idea where I can find a part number?

To orient you, on the right-hand side of the first picture is the passenger side, front tire.

I believe that is one of the lift points the factory uses when the chasis are being assembled.

Default I don't know what it is, but...

...don't use the factory jack for anything. It really is dangerous to use. There are a real lot of horror stories surrounding its use.

Default I believe that, it's very light-duty. I only use it occasionally and I'm sure to keep out from under

the car when I'm using it. That said, a floor jack and jack stands is on my list of upcoming purchases. I recall reading various methods of adapting jacks and jack stands to interface with the chassis seam that the factory jack uses, such as modified hockey pucks and such. Do you use something like this or did you buy a jack specific to the purpose?

Default Was the car ever towed? Good spot for tow hook to be inserted & they wouldn't....

necessarily replace the plug for you.

Default Yep, that's it. Guess it's not the most important part in the world, but I'll see if I can get

another or seal it up another way.

Default Not since I've owned the car, though I suppose it's possible. I was thinking I lost it while driving

through standing water.
