Default You WANT to move to CA? Eeew. I repeatedly ignore CA job listings.

No offense to the CA AW members, but I want no part of 91 octane and million-dollar shacks with 3 roommates and an hour commute each way. It's bad enough here in DC with the cost & congestion. I don't need to make things worse.

Default I've actually been talking with some friends. It seems that in LA, you can live pretty comfortably

on about $150k a year. I'm definitely leaning that way after grad school. The common thinking is that $150k a year will net you a nice apartment on the beach with an M5 in the garage below. Any LA peeps want to commen on the level of truth in this statement?

Default well in a sense it does....

if kids can afford $150K cars, renters will make sure the rent is way up so they can pay that as well!

Boston is pretty equivalent to DC, but the suburbs are more reasonable IMO.
