Default Plea for people NOT to use FedEx Ground......I bought some used HRE rims from someone here on......

Audiworld. I pay for the rims and the shipping.

I get 4 tracking #'s - one for each box.

The FedEx tracking site says to expect delivery on Oct 30th. Saturday comes and I wait and wait.

The tracking site says "On Truck - Out for Delivery". At 7PM, I call FedEx and they tell me they will be delivered by 8PM. They never come.

They are closed on Sunday so I call yesterday, "Sorry sir, the driver must have had a full load and did not have time to bring them. They will be there on Tuesday, Nov 2nd."....

I ask why not on Monday, Nov 1st. She tells me that FedEx ground does not deliver on Sundays or Mondays (huh? not on Mondays?).....

Anyway, I realize I'm not getting the rims until today and then a suprise.....

I get home from work to find 4 nice "nearly" new HRE 540s sitting on my front porch!!!!

FedEx Ground had no clue when the rims were being delivered and was not sure why they did not show up when scheduled.

I've used FedEx Express and UPS ground many, many times without problems. I would not use FedEx Ground again.....anyone with similar FedEx Ground experiences?

UPS tends to be ****tier than Fedex . . . at elast you can get your $$$ back now for shipping costs

Yeah, the lady said they 'might' refund shipping charges if the shipper contacts them to complain.

Default So their tracking system messed up...did they damage your wheels?

It happens, I'm not sure it's grounds to call for an immediate boycott. If they damaged your goods then I could see, but if its just because their tracking system or their logistics calculations screwed up I wouldn't get too upset about it. It happened to me with FedEx, I guess I didn't think it was that big a deal.

Default I know, I just had scheduled my day around getting these new wheels mounted.............

I've been pretty busy with a new baby in the house and set aside some time that day.

The wheels are undamaged so I'm happy.

It's just alarming that the tracking STILL says "Out for Delivery" and they have been delivered.

Never had such confusion.

Plus, when new mods are on the way, there is nothing like seeing that delivery man carry your new goodies to the door.

The only issue I have is not that the wheels were delivered late, it happens. It's that FedEx had NO CLUE they were coming Monday and, in fact, told me they were NOT going to be delivered on Monday. If I happened to be out of town, I would not have wanted $$$$ rims sitting outside on my porch! At this point, their system still does not indictae that they've been delivered. Seems a bit unorganized compared to my experience with UPS Ground.

agree. Don't sue Fedex Ground for anything important.
