Is it possible to diable ABS without disabling EDL?
VAG, pull the fuse(s), pull ABS harness?
I'm trying to see if it's the same as in the S4, assuming it's possible.

ABS and EDL are part of the same program......
This is my understanding of the system, do correct if I am wrong....
EDL isnt really an edl. Its kinda like having traction control on a front drive car.... Except now you have it on all 4's
ABS will let off the brake to prevent lockage. EDL will clamp a brake down on a wheel to prevent excess spin. (when compared to other wheels) ESP takes it a step further which allows individual wheels to get brake or throttle power based on yaw sensor, accelerator or brake position etc etc.
In the case of the EDL its kinda like the inverse of the ABS. Uses the same wheel sensors computer etc to do the work. (instead of stopping the system uses it to get going)
The only way I see you could possibly do this is to add on your own electrical mod. You would have to somehow disable the sensor but only when braking. The only way I could see you doing this is with a relay switch, that when you hit the brake it sends a signal to your custom wiring rig to cut the data feed from the wheel sensors.
The computer cant find the wheel sensors so it trips the abs light. (ABS doesnt work) Unless your braking and hitting the gas at the same time your edl should then be able to kick in,(after braking) since the sensors are allowed to work again. How the ABS computer will pick all of this up or does one have to clear codes or reboot first before the edl program will work again in the abs computer is beyond me.
If you wanted to do it software wise, you would have to actually hack the abs computer program to allow for an on off switch (like in the older audis) I think with the older audis the switch pretty much killed the power to the computer. Doing that in this case would also kill the edl.
