hardly drive the S4 anymore except on longer trips. was driving out of the neighborhood last week and hear "snap...thwap thwap thwap". Turned car around and coasted back to the house. CEL is flashing. symptoms seem to indicate a thrown rod.

So...since I don't drive the car much anyway, I am trying to find perhaps someone far more mechanically inclined to take this thing as I am not going to do an engine pull/swap/rod replacement on her as it is just too much $.

Car is in otherwise great shape, just pretty much a blown motor. new battery, Michelin tires, upgraded pretty much everything except stock K03s. Mounts, suspension, brakes, etc.

Anyone know someone that may be into this sort of deal? 2 wreckers have offered my prices, one was ridiculous and kept thinking I was saying "A4".
