Props to AWE and an update on my DP install
so I stopped by my dealer today over lunch to see how things were coming along - they're installing AWE DP's, Forge cb exhaust, a new clutch disc and the RS4 pressure plate.
Well, they had the transmission out, and the exhaust pulled off by 12:00. Let me tell you, its quite a sight to see the backside of these engines. Looking into the turbo's is cool. I asked the tech if there was any oil and he said it looked really clean (woo hoo?!?!).
I stopped back an hour later and he had the first down pipe sections installed on both sides, the transmission back in, the 02 sensors connected (had to cut, etc, thanks NickS) and was working on the rest of it.
Its pretty amazing what can be done by an experienced tech in a few hours - I'm getting REALLY excited!
As for the AWE downpipes - WHAT A FANASTIC PIECE OF EQUIPMENT!! The tech, my sales guy, and myself were in shock at the high quality of this system - very nice looking.
reviews to come, sorry no pics!

They 'quoted' me 9 hours for downpipes and 12 hrs for the
pressure plate - Those are estimates to do each piece seperately, but they take the exhaust off for the pressure plate, so probably 12 hrs for the whole lot I'm thinking - although he seems real far ahead of schedule!?!!?!

Yeah, quoted times seem to be way off...
Everyone says doing a clutch replacement or even a full tranny replacement takes a couple days. My dealer did it in less than a day when they decided to fully replace my transmission.
