Quattro Club newsletter...anyone else get theirs? (longish summary of an article)
Just got my free copy of Quattro Club USA newsletter in the mail last night. Some interesting articles, esp an interview with some top brass sounding AoA product dood talking about present and future product plans. Spells out a few things, including AoA's view on ALL mods (they view negatively on any modifications, esp to the powerplant/drivetrain). They also tried to explain certain differences between products offered in Europe vs. US (no S6 and RS4 for now cause they don't think the market interest warrents it...saying RS4, when modified to meet US emissions standards, would be too close in performance with the S4). They also expressed how they don't think ANY aftermarket shop knows what they're doing, esp with regard to the ECU. When asked why in Europe some places, like MTM, work so closely with Audi, the AoA guy said he didn't know anything about that, but also pointed out that since in Europe the warrenties last such a short time there's more interest for Audi to help the aftermarket scene and such, and that in the future we may see official product offerings in the US by Quattro GmbH. He stated that we already HAVE certain products and service we can request at an extra cost in terms of customization, such as ordering a TT in *IMOLA YELLOW*!!!
Anyhow, it was a very interesting interview. If I had a scanner I'd scan it and post it but I don't, and I don't really feel like posting it word for word hehehe...I'm sure some of you recent owners or those of you who joined the club have gotten or will be getting this newsletter soon.
