Default recently posted question about problems with sway bar and...

upgraded suspension (h&r sport + bilsteins)... i reported that i was hearing some rubbery noise from only one side in the rear of the car. some people were too quick to jump in with their comments, no one actually offered usable suggestion...

well it turned it wasnt the sway bar, it fits perfectly and really complements the suspension setup. it seems to be that the root of the problem is faulty shock which will be replaced under lifetime warranty. right now i am driving my car with oem shocks in the back and it is behaving surprisingly well. almost no difference conpared with the bilstein setup. i still have bilsteins in the front...

just thought i would shed some light on the cause of the problem...

Default it is not squeaking noise, it is more subdued...

and it is audible only at low speeds or if i bounce the car on that end... it sounds like dry bushing compound rubbing against the metal... my mechanic used stethoscope to localize the noise coming from the shock. we tried lubing bushings with lithium spray lubricant but it didnt change anything. then we took the shock out and inspected it. i think that the noise was caused by some lateral play that the upper shaft exibited when we compressed the shock. we checked the other side shock and it was perfectly tight without any lateral play... we will see what happens when we install replacement shock...

hope this helps...
