Replaced oil leve/temp sensor, no I don't have any temp reading
Right after the replacement the gauge seemed to be reading backwards. I reset the gauges last night with the Vag-Com and now it doesn't read backwards but it still doesn't read at all. I verified the part number: 1J0907660B
I've contacted autohausaz.com and they said their was a TSB about the wiring possibly needing modification. A service writer confirmed this tonight over the phone but I'm still stuck.
The next step will be to measure the resistance on the sensor when the car is cold and then warm. Then I'll need some information on what those values should be. The service writer said this should be in the repair manual.
Has anyone dealt with this?<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2510051.phtml">Confirmation link</a></li></ul>

i think i have the same issue...i replaced the sensor, no change.
I didnt go further, my oil temp reading is flatlined.
when you vag-com'd the dash did you run it through the diagnostics when it moves each gauge to show its function? im assuming the oil temp gauge worked?
other than that, you know more than I...ill looked for the TSB.
