Default Replaced Trim this weekend...

With the help of Charlie, I replaced my wood trim with the Silver aluminum trim. For my car this looks MUCH better. One of the pieces clair parts sent me (and I know others have been ordering this wrong). The plastic piece that goes around the gear shift that Clair sent me is for a A6, not an A4/S4. Also, some of the pieces Clair sent me were scratched so I'm going to try and send this stuff back to them. Anyone know what their return policy is? Also if any of you are interested in replacing your wood trim, make sure to order some extra lock washers. The pieces used on the door trim are NOT the same.

As for the install, the dash piece is a PITA! Most of the FAQs on how to take apart the dash are not accurate for newer audis.. Would anyone benefit if I rewrote the faq? It took me nearly all day to do this install and it probably would have gone much faster with a more acurate walk-through.

I will post pictures once I get all the pieces, but at least the dash is done. The doors are really easy. And the two fronts are the pieces I'm waiting for. I'll also post the correct revised part numbers once I finish up.

thanks again Charlie!

Default Did the same install last month....had the same problem (more)

The piece around the shifer was also wrong (it actually was for cars that didn't have the bose sterio therefor it was longer.) Also a few pieces were scratched/dented....this stuff is really soft. Clair had no problem taking back the wrong/damaged pieces, and sent the new ones the next day. They will issue you a ups pick up call tage to have the pieces picked up.
Hope this helps, and enjoy the new look.

Default That's AWESOME man.. thanks...

I will call them tomorrow for sure. I'm glad they are willing to take the pieces back if they are damaged.
