Default reply for changing the cv boot :)

Thanks for tips. I ended up taking the drive axle out. I think it is much easier to work on it while it is out and in the vice. Will post pix when done. By the way, the dealer wants $60 for the cv boot. Advanced Auto Parts have it for $15. Do the math. I think the quality is the same. Talked to my friend mechanic; he agrees. Thanks again for the tips guys.

Default it is much easier to take the drive axel out..

i have done it both ways and you would think you save time not taking that out but you really dont.

Default Yet, very true.

I would personally just buy a half shaft next time from raxles.com especially if you think the joint may have been contaminated. Easy swap in/out.

Default I'd recommend a rebuilt one from PureMS...

or a new one from Joe@AxisMotorsport. Both are cheaper than raxles
