Default REPORT on Milltek 3" catback with testpipes:

I installed my testpipes this weekend to do some testing (old photo below. I wish I had a lift to install them... I just had the car up on ramps and jackstands).

I'm pleased to report that there is NO rattling noise that people have reported with other catback and testpipe combinations. The exhaust note is a bit louder and throatier, but not bad at all. Butt dyno says turbo spoolup is slightly improved and there's a little more power but most of that could be mental -- the nice exhaust note definitely messes with your head

I wouldn't run testpipes all the time (environmental implications and whatnot), but it does seem to make a slight difference.

Default Gracias seņor, your report is just what I wanted to hear.

I have the APR DP/stealth catback combo and I'm running testpipes also. Want to get rid of the "hondaesque" sound you mention but was afraid with the Milltek I had the same problem. Good news, enjoy...

Default Sorry, a little overanxious there. So I shouldn't quit my day job just yet?

Never said I drove on public roads with the testpipes or that they are still on.
