RS4 is quicker than Euro E36 M3 ...
but you guys need to relax a bit. I mean the poor guy was just showing an Autobahn race to you guys.
The RS4 is quicker, but not by much, which is all the guy was trying to say. There is now way in Hell (NEVER, NEVER, NEVER) that the RS4 was not flat out! You cannot cruise on part throttle & stay ahead of a 321hp Euro M3 on the Autobahn if the M3 is being driven flat out. Go an any European Porsche board & ask them. The Euro M3 is really quick above 100mph & if you are thinking about the US M3 then get it out of your head.
Quicksilver, you like magazine stats. Check out Evo, the E46 M3 did 100-140 in 13.8 seconds & the RS4 (on the same day) did 15.4. I have both E46 & E36 Euro M3 & running at those speeds they are very close in acceleration so I can believe that the Euro will at least keep an RS4 in check(note, I am not saying that it will beat an RS4). The 0-60 & 0-100 times are low on the RS4 because of the AWD launch so if you are doing rolling races you need to subtract the 0-60 figures from the equation.
Please no flames, I'm just giving an objective view from someone who knows what the Euro M3 can do at higher speeds.

Re: RS4 is quicker than Euro E36 M3 ...
This link shows 13.6s for the RS4, you are also one of the guy who always trying to show off your car in here, so your opinion worth as much as his. So please don't act like you are just showing the facts.

Sure, but we're talking E36 M3, which isn't quite as fast....I agree that it probably wouldn't be a
*huge* margin of victory.
Enjoy the E46. One of these days, I'm finally going to get around to test driving one.

A few more points (along with, you guessed it, magazine tests!):
Yes, I like car magazines. Aside from the fact that I love cars in general, car magazines give a pretty good yardstick of how cars compare to one another, although as one poster put it a few weeks ago, the average Joe isn't going to get consistent 5.5 0-60 runs in a 6-speed S4, any more than he'd get a sub-5 second 0-60 run in an M3, because these runs are done by professional drivers.
Having said that, they are very useful in countering BS. For example, if someone comes in here and says that a Maxima would beat an S4, one can pretty easily counter this claim by simply posting the relevant test data.
I also notice that you have an affinity for magazine articles, particularly those which are favorable towards the new M3; I seem to recall several occasions where you came in here, most recently a few weeks ago, proudly trumpeting the new test results from one of the mags, then taking your obligatory snipe at the S4 and starting a flame fest (which, I'm happy to say, you seem to have put a lid on, and I do appreciate it, so the truce you called shall remain in effect :-) .
Finally, being the car mag afficiando that you are, you must be aware that: 1) the EVO test of the RS4 you cited has probably the slowest test results for an RS4 posted to date, and 2) the same magazine, along with Car, both got 0-100 MPH times for the E36 M3 which were about one second slower than the new E46 M3, which you cited in your example.
So, let's examine the 100-140 mph time of the RS4 in a few other instrumented road tests, shall we? You said, accurately, that EVO got 15.4 seconds 100-140 mph for the RS4, to the E46 M3's 13.8. Here's another RS4 test. In it, you'll see that the RS4 got 0-60 in 4.7, 0-100 in 11.2, and 0-140 in 24.8, which gives a 100-140 time of 13.6 seconds, faster than the EVO E46 M3 test you cited. For comparison, the E46 M3 test you cited got 5.1 seconds 0-60, 12.3 seconds to 100, and 26.1 to 140. And, as I said before, the E46 M3 is faster than the E36; both EVO and Car got 0-100 in 12.5 for the E36.
Here's a second RS4 test. They got 0-60 in 4.7, 0-100 in 11.6, and 0-130 in 20.5 (they didn't time it to 140, but the EVO test you cited got a 0-130 time of 21.3 in the E46 M3).
And, as you said, I'm not flaming anyone, just trying to illustrate the performance gap between the E36 M3 and the RS4. Not huge, but certainly not miniscule either.

I felt sorry for that guy -->
I thought it was cool that he shared a video. I enjoyed watching the video. I didn't think he mealt anything threating. Though a lot of people seemed to get up tight.
