Seat airbag bypass: Is 5.6 ohms too much?
I'm in the process of putting aftermarket seats in my 2000 S4. Searching here tells me to do a 4.7ohm across the two non-brown wires. I can't find a 4.7ohm at the local Radio Shack, but they had 10 ohm ones. I figured I'd just use 2 in parallel and be at 5. But, with the 5% tolerance, I ended up at 5.6ohms.
Does anyone know if 5.6 ohms is going to throw a resistance too high code during the airbag system check? I'm going to pick up a set of 1% tolerance and try again.
