Service at 1500 miles?

Default Service at 1500 miles?
My car is telling me to get service at what I calculate to be 1500 miles.

My salesmen told me to come back at 5k miles

My service advisor said to come in and he'll reset the indicator.

Is this normal?

Check your owners manual...there is a service light reset procedure.

I was more concerned about the service, than the light?

My 2001 manual says to come in at the 5,000 mile mark for a lube job.

Default You can reset it yourself with VwTool
