Service Weekend, I'm Excited... need some input
(i stfa and "headers" or "best headers" don't bring in ****..)
Here's my thought... I'm thinking that since my engine is coming out this weekend for some major work being done:
piggie pipes, timing belt service, water pumps, plugs, all filters, oil, kevlar clutch & new flywheel, RS4 engine mounts, CV joints, 2x window regulators & risers)
should I think about headers? I've read that it's not worth it unless I'm trying to squeak out an extra .01 on the track, which isn't the case at all... is there a marginal or noticeable improvement in HP or lb/ft?
I've got 103k and the car runs well... I'm excited about getting all this done and getting it back to 100% as it's been a little below that for a bit... I was just thinking that since I'm already paying a guy I trust for the work, is there anything else you guys think is a necessity? Rear seal maybe?
And.. "no, that all looks like it's enough" is a perfectly acceptable response here... I'm not *TRYING* to spend more money.. but if there's something that'll be worth the investment, and I can justify/rationalize it to myself... then I'm game.. but like I said, not *trying* to spend more money... as I've already shelled out a few thou...
Thanks guys.

7K for what? There's no way I'd pull out a motor with 103K and KO3's, and put it back in with KO3s
your almost guaranteed to have to pull it again soon for new turbos.
At the very least, throw on a set of K04's with inlets and hardware and run it on stock software if you have to.

The kit for the K04 turbos is listed at ~$7k almost everywhere I looked
am I missing something? Of course I'd *like* K04's... but I'd *ALSO* like a B7 RS4... know what I mean?

i think he's suggesting just K04 + inlet piping and leave the fueling for later.
