shipping RS6, any suggestions?
I used to be on this board quite a bit with my stage III+ S4 avant. Anyone had good luck shipping a car lately? I need to ship my RS6 from New Mexico to DC the end of December. Thanks.

I have not had any experience with this, but my first thought would be to use rail or truck car carrier - have you contacted one of the big shipping companies like CTX? Most moving companies also can provide shipping for cars or point you to a transport company.

Slightly more expensive then some others out there but was very pleased with the service.Felt much better talking to them than the $500 qoute I got from some Ya Hoo who blasted me for wanting to ask some questions. I did talk them down a bit on price as well.

It's more expensive in the winter. I had mine shipped from NY to UT in the month of Jan. I can't give you a good recommendation on a company because I wasn't satisfied with the one I went with (they banged the bumper loading it in front of me.) If you don't mind spending it, I'd probably go enclosed over open carrier.
