Slightly OT- custom trim pieces, where to get? (more)
I thought I'd post here, as there are so many highly modified car owners on this forum.
Where can one get brushed aluminum trim custom-made?
I want to replace the existing wood trim in my 200 w/ brushed aluminum, to give the car a much more modern appearance. I think it would work in the car, although it may be too much.

It's not something that can be easily custom made...at least not cheaply...more
I guess you can have a shop machine you pieces but your talking major $$$$$
The dash pieces all possess curvatures so it's not easy to make the actual pieces which is why I suggested people either sand and have a body shop refinish it for a "aluminum" look. that's about the best you're going to be able to do in my opinion.

If Al is too hard to work with, how about CF? Doesn't have to be real, just look nice (more)
I don't really care if it is "real" CF, as it is not going to be used for anything structural or whatever, just as trim.
Or maybe I should just remove the wood trim, sand down and stain it with a dark grey stain or black stain, like the birdseye maple or the piano black RS4 trim.
BTW, the 200 trim is much wider and flatter than the trim in the A4/S4, so it would be easier to work with in general.
Thanks Rick.
