Default so i found out how fast the 996tt is today on my way to work. dam they are fast
i was keeping up with him from a roll starting at about 50 or so, untill about 70 then he just walked away. this happened 2 more times.

we then rolled up on an unmarked car (we were doing about 120) as we were slowing down from the last run. the cop just flipped on his lights real quick and then turned them off. what a nice cop - we would have been so F'ed.

and no i dont condone street racing, but had to test the p-car! i want one

Default I assume you both were in 3rd and that is why you stuck with him until 70.
Gears are much longer in the turbo. 1st goes to about 35 or 40, 2nd goes to 70, 3rd to over 100.

Default that sounds good to me - when he sifted he slamed it at about 70ish...
the tail of the car slammed down and the car took off. not to mention a small puff ob blackish smoke out of his tailpipes- i chuckled.

Default I can stay with my buddy's 996TT until about 105mph and then he
pulls 6-7 lengths (last time we went at it). This was rolling from 3rd gear dead even.

Default you're only a stage 2, I think if you upgrade the story might differ
I think AWE's full stage 3 kit actually is faster than the stock 996tt.
But not anymore.

You're stage 0.5 and you kept with a 996tt? Nah. Must have been worse than you describe.

It is all about the gearing. That is why it only lasted from 50-70.

he walked away from me after about 70 - and i said it wasnt even close- hence thay are dam fast
