Default So, is there really nothing service can do to cure the seat moving problem?

to be more specific, replacing the frame will not help?

has anyone has their frame replaced and the problem remains?

and has anyone has their frame replaced and problem solved?

My advisor at AB told me there is no real "fix" for the problem.

I think they ended up replacing the seat frame; rails didn't seem to fix it for anyone.

Default Rector is planning on replacing the seat subframe at my next service.

They are confident this will fix the "stock rocking chair" problem. They have reassured me that this has been completed on other S4s and the problem did not persist. I WAS going to have it done at Sonnen in Marin, but they told me they drop the car off at an upholstery shop. Uhh, yeah, I don't think so. If it's not being done in-house, then forget it. Rector does the swap in their service bay where my car will be safe and sound.

I read that some dealers were fixing the seats, just not all of them. Don't remember where I saw it.

Default Dealership replaced the entire bottom frame

Replaced it under warranty.

Seat seems fine now, passenger seat hopefully to be replaced next.
