Dang it.

Are CV boots covered under Audi Assured warranty?

There are small cracks all around. Not through yet.

I gotta STFA's...

That's all.

Default The list...

Don't see "C.V. boot" but "dust boot" is on there. Not sure if that's the same though, but it's right above CV joint on the coverage list.

Dammit, why do CV boots tear so easily?

Default Good list, but I fear the comment, "FOR FACTORY DEFECT, NOT WEAR "

I looked up Tie Rod Ends, which my dealer said they wouldn't warranty. It had a simliar note after it.

Hmmmmm....

Do Axels have to be replaced in pairs?

Default Axles...

I've replaced axles one side at a time on my other Audi...as have many others. They suggest you get an allignment done afterwards though. Good luck with the coverage of the boot.

Depending on how long the tear has been there, there could be lots of dirt/grime in the CV joint itself which is no good...causes clicking. Not to mention any grease that can be thrown as a result of the tear...
