Default So while my car was in the dealer did the control arm recall check...

What do you know...they were fine, but all my uppers are loose and the boots are split. They gave me an estimate of $1500-1600 for repair. They said they've checked alot of recalled cars and haven't replaced any lowers. Sounds like the uppers should be recalled...what'dya think Audi???

Default No I laughed and said leave it. Prolly just have Matrix do it.

Only if they were covered under warranty...but they are considered wear and tear items, so no warranty.

Default RIDICULOUS

Call AOA, they're not so bad when you submit claims-kind of a pain but well worth the time for the $ spent on all uppers!

I have aftermarket suspension, so I wouldn't expect them to cover it anyway.

Default same thing here happened to our S4..controls arms were good...but...

they found the passanger tie rod end was split. Audi said that part is not covered any more, even though when we bought the S4 it was covered. long story short is that Barrier Audi fixed the $100 part and my blood pressure went back down. Audi knows they have alot of problems in their cars and they dont care about us 1 bit.

What are symptoms of the recalled parts being bad?
