Something got into my K04s and
totally destroyed my turbine wheels.
What could it be? My mechanic says that everything is ok on the car, but I am bit suspicious...

Both turbos were damaged ...
but equally. The turbine wheel was totally damaged as was the rotor. My mechanic found some parts of metal inside the CATS.
The thing is that I had just replaced the ICs for The RS4 ones.
Now, I am worried to put new turbos on again. Is there any possibility that the motor was blown? Well I dont think so...

check the inside of exhaust manifolds too .
and change your mechanic too while you are at it.. how can everything be ok when that happends.
and when you say turbine ..i take as the exhaust/hot side right? definetly post more detailed pictures and take those manifolds out and check them, someone posted here pics of manifolds chipping inside and killing 2 sets of turbos.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1767604.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1767604.phtml</a</li></ul>
