spacer...are wheels original?
I bought a 2001 Audi S4 from a dealer last spring, who told me that everything on the car is factory.
I rotated my tires last weekend and found that there is (about) 1/2 inch spacers on the front wheels (no spacers on the rear wheels). The loose fit of this spacer is definitely not factory. But the spacer has to be there or else the wheels will come into contact with the front brake calipers.
Do any of you B5 S4 owners have spacers on your front wheels?
If not, then there are two possibilities:
1) brake calipers are not factory and are too thick.
2) wheels are not factory (which I think is the case)The center cap is one color (silver only) as oppose to two tone (grey and silver)
What do you guys think?

sounds like you have a bbk if you're running stock avus
1/2" sounds really thick...I assume the bolts for the front are longer than the ones in the rear? Can you take a picture of the front calipers?

easy to find out. pull center cap. if it don't say ronal under it, its fake.
my guess is dealership replaced with fakes becuase it was cheaper and dealerships are MAD shady any way you dice it. many of them are this way be "need"...thats a whole other story

bolts are longer in the front than the rear
Rear bolts are steel with rounded heads.
Front bolts are longer than rear bolts, chrome plated with cone shaped heads. The chrome plating is what led me to belive these bolts and wheels aren't stock.
Caliper has audi logo on it, surface is bare steel and no paint, so I guess brakes are most likely stock.
