SPP Pilar Mount Boost Gauge: Install Question? Difficult - Moderate - Easy
curious to know if the boost gauge install for the S4 is difficult or easy. is it a DIY?
i've installed a boost gauge before, but not on the S4.
TIA.

Taner and I also have the same gauge installed, he did a write up...
which you can read all about <a href="http://www.taner.net/s4/boost_gauge/">here...</a>
This gauge was actually straightforward to install. It's an electrical gauge, so there were a few more steps than a mechanical gauge, BUT, in all honesty, routing vacuum line around the car is a straight up bitch cause it crimps very easy.
So if you are installing a mechanical guage, be careful with the vacuum line.
Otherwise, it's not a difficult installation.

Not bad
I think the most frustrating part was getting the new A-pillar cover on. Several trys and some foul language and it went on.
I also took the driver-side wiper arm off so I could take off the cover at the very base of the windshield. That made getting to the 5th screw easy. (Move the wiper into an almost vertical position then put a piece of tape on the windshield so you know where it belongs.)
