Default Stasis Motor Sports-- rattle coming from the rear shocks...

I STFA and found a lot of discussion, but no solutions that apply. We've tripple checked-- everything is torqued-down right, but over rough roads the back end rattles (both sides) like something is <very> loose.

I have the Eibach 6" springs which fit very loosely on the upper and lower perches-- the diameter of the spring seems too big for the perch. I'm guessing that it shifts back-and-forth and makes all the racket. Maybe the Hyperco 8" spring has a smaller diameter and fits more snugly on the perches?

Anyone? I'm calling Stasis Mon. morning (no one answering the phone today), but hoping to drive a track event tomorrow, and the noise is a bit disconcerting...

Some installers don't use the spacers for the rear upper mount...

Default We used 'em, though they weren't the tight fit of the bottom spacers...

but we've torqued the fool out of the top and there doesn't seem to be any play in the shock itself...

Default Hmm...

8" spring is little short, I can imagine what 6" spring will doo. Get the Eibach helper springs.

Also, check non-suspension components. Maybe it is something totally unrelated.

Finally, I did couple events with my TrackSports making noises... I will be swaping them out, but I did fine.

Default How about the spring perches?

Make sure those are cinched nice and tight. Looseness there could cause a rattle.

Default Makes sense, thanks...

Odd that Stasis would sell the setup w/out the helpers if they're needed. Hmmm is right!

Default STaSIS is selling you Eibach springs?

I thought that they dealt with hyperco. Don't get me wrong, Eibach is the way to go. It is just odd. Check out the Eibach site, and look for helper springs. I am sure STaSIS will be able to hook you up.

Yes. The parts list says they come with <either> Hyperco 8" or Eibach 6" springs.
