Stasis Tracksports or Bilstein PSS-9s?
I have the original Tracksports with the VM-2 dampeners. It's be 100k miles since the kit and am looking for a change. Does anyone know if the new Tracksports are a significant improvement over previous generations? And would anyone have experience with both setups?

i think there isn't enough out on the PSS9's to make a good call...
...but if i HAD to pick one right now, I'd go PSS9's since I've driven on teh TS's and I'd just like to try something else.

Question for you Ryan...
I dont know if you remember, but I made a few trips from Bakersfield to your shop up in the Los Gatos Hills a few times for work on the car. I have the original TS with VM2 dampeners. How much better is the new set? They look nicer (which is a plus). But is it smoother with less of that porpoising? My 600/700 is far from being uncomfortable, maybe 700/800 for the next setup.
Also, I have the old Winston Cup rotors from the S8 front caliper setup as well. Will the hats on that rotor fit the Alcons in the new Tracksport or Motorsport kit?

Both are very good suspension...
like RyanS4 said there aren't enough PSS9s out there for a well-rounded consensus. If I tracked my car A LOT I'd still suggest the TrackSports, but my car is almost exclusively an aggressively driven daily driver, and the streetability and range of adjustment work better for me.
That said, I LOVE all the people who say "TrackSports RULE!" but they haven't driven the PSS9s. I drove both, and am very happy with my PSS9s.
Sometimes this forum is a bunch of sheep; just do what everyone else says, and post that it's teh best.

answers to the best of my knowledge...
The new valving is much better then your VM2 valving, which was essentially the true first valving.
But, remember, the damper itself is still the same (AFAIK). So some of the characteristics I beleive are difficult to "valve-out" of the koni 82-series non gas pressured. Mainly, their reaction lag is just enough to cause noticeable issue. With soft springs, and light valving, I think it's imperceptable (it's "cush"), but with strong valving and high spring rates, it can be more noticeable. Not in every instance, but in some.
Based on damper style alone, if I were you I'd try the PSS9's. If you hate them, you can always sell them used and then go for something else. But if you're looking to spend more money, definitely you'll notice the OHLINS or PENSKE setups. These will give you smoothness and performance, without any issues. They are worth it in every aspect.
As for the rotors, no they won't carry over. Mainly becuase the S8 Brembo caliper runs a wide annulus (64mm) vs. the narrow annulus of the Alcon Monoblock calipers (54mm). So although you could mount the caliper over the disc, you'll have an unswept area of the rotor.
Your best option there is to keep the current setup, or sell it used as-is, and then just buy a new Alcon based kit. I highly recommend the 6 pistons over the 4, I think they are worth it, and I think coming off the S8 Brembo, you'll notice more difference with the 6 then the 4 in the Alcon's.
Good luck.
