Default STFA - is there anyone running a T-Box ECU in place of their original M-Box?

Is there anyone actually running a chipped T-Box ECU where their original ECU was a M-Box? I'm looking to get a chip (choices were MTM or ABT) and there's someone selling their T-Box ABT-chipped ECU, but mine is a M-Box. I want to make sure before I lay down a wad of cash on this.

Thanks,
RajeshR

T-Box works just fine in 2001.5 S4's that originally came with M box. No difference.

Default I pick it up next week...(more)

Need to make plans beforehand - already purchased a SS, looking for a chip and suspension and about to book a date for exhaust install.

Does that sound crazy? Buying my mods before I pick up the car (rereading that it does!!!)...

P.S. Anyone selling an ECU\Chip (pref. MTM or ABT M\T Box)?

Default Yes, I'd drive it for a month or so, get the feel of it, and make sure it's mechanically solid. The

last thing you want to do is throw a bunch of mods on day one and then find out the thing doesn't run right.

Default agreed. I did, however, buy an Alpine car stereo amp before I had a driver's license :o)

guess that's a tad different though ;-)

I used to run a stock T box in my M-box car. It works fine. They are interchangeable.

It seems that the M-box has been superceded to the T in the Audi parts system.
