Default Suspension Question: I'm going to purchase a set of Bilstein Sport struts and the Febi-Bilstein...

front control arm kit from PureMS, is there anything else I need, or should pick up while I'm doing the work?

(I also have APR Roll Control springs and front strut bearings.)

Are you doing the install yourself? If so, have the pinch bolts ever been removed?

Default Yes, I will be doing it myself, and I have aluminum uprights (08/99' build date) so it shouldn't...

be too bad of an install from what I've read in the archives.

Default Yeah you should be okay. I'd buy a Mapp torch and a punch/2 lb. hammer in case

the bolt does give you any trouble. If your car's lived most of its' life in the Northeast, you'll probably need that torch to unscrew the seized tie rod ends from the inner tie rod. I know I did.

Default Busted TRE's can just be cut, put a socket over lock nut to unscrew

Your knuckles will thank you.

Default For what it's worth, I have aluminum uprights and the pinch bolts were a bitch

A hammer and a punch, or if you can an impact hammer, will be your friends.
