Synthetic Oil and GOOD oil filters

Synthetic Oil and GOOD oil filters
Read the Amsoil discussion on the Audiworld S4 group just now and thought I
would pose a question to you. I use the same oil in my S4 and allowed Amsoilto talk me into using their expensive oil filter as well that filters WAY in excess of standard brands. Could that cause a reduction in oil pressure that
could hurt me.
I ask because my buddy tried to put the best oil filters in his boat for his Cummins diesels and Cummins said the flow was reduced too low for them to start warranty. This could be and issue if others are using this combination.
I would also add that I get a pause in the engine at start up time that I did not have with conventional oil and filters.
What say the board?

If you are within your Audi Advantage timeframe, using a non-stock filter would void your warranty..
The Magnuson-Moss warranty precident doesn't apply, because your required filter is available at no cost to you at an appropriate service interval.
Plus, the stock one is just fine.
