Default I am baffled...someone please clarify...more..

A short shifter is simply a shorter shifter shaft?

So, we are talking about radius here, mathematics. So if you shorten the shaft length, the distance it travels will be less?

So, if you are putting a shorter shifter on, why wouldn't side-to-side also be less radius to move?

Thanks

Default Doesn't work that way...

It's not just rod length, it's more about lever ratio where it connects to the gearing mechanism underneath. Most S4 short shifters are original shift rod length.
