Thinking of building go kart with 600cc engine
I wrecked my 600cc bullet bike last summer and got a brand new one but now my old one is just sitting around and the engine and tranny is perfect but everything else is screwed. Should I use it to build a go kart.

ive seen two crotch rocket powered Karts.
one was built back in 83' and used a KZ1000 motor,
the other was built 5 years ago, and used an 86' gsxr 1100 motor.
they were probably equally fast.....since the tires just smoked whenever the throttle was layed into
I would advise two things, based on what i have witnessed.
1. get some high quality leathers, a spine protector; and helmet.
2. only drive it where there is nothing you could possibly run into, because those things are IN-SANE!
WILL WE BE SEEING YOU ON THE EVENING NEWS SOON?

most formula sae teams use a 600 cc engine, we (duke) use a honda f4
it's damn fast, and a blast to drive. i'd say do it, it won't cost too much and you'll have a great car to take to autocross.
