For those who are thinking about getting LED Citylights(Tantrumwerks), here is a comparo/review/etc.
Disclaimer: this is *NOT* to flame anyone and only an honest review, but just to help out the community and those who were thinking about buying LEDs for their city lights. Now you can decide whether they are for you or not.
With that said, another peice of important info is that (as you can see) it's not dark in the pics I took since I took the pics during the day in my garage, I'll try to get more pics tonight to show the difference at night(The LED's drain out a little more during the day I suspect).
Anyway here is the info that matters. I'm using Tantrumwerk's BLUE LED city lights and Polarg's M-17 Hyper-White City Light Bulb 12v 8w, I picked these up from SPP months ago(as seen in the pic below) They last pretty damn long, I've had them for over 6 months with no problems, but I did notice that when I pulled them out to put in the LED's the blue bulb tint just started flaking off, which is understandable after so much heat and use IMO.

Now for the comparison pics...
Left Blue LEDs and Right are the flaked off Polargs...(sorry for the crappy pics, I couldn't take them 'head on' without backing up the car and opening the garage door letting in too much light)

As you can see the Polarg bulbs seem to be much brighter and illuminate the housings a lot more than the LEDs. I will take more pics tonight if I get a chance to show the difference in the dark, and maybe a couple with the headlights on if they come out good.
Overall I am a bit disapointed in the overall performance of the LED's, but I will see how they look at night before making that my final opinion. I was expecting them to illuminate the housings a lot more and maybe have a little 'bluer' of a tint. However I'm pretty sure they will last much longer than the Polargs bulbs, but only time will tell. Hope this helps for those who were thinking about getting the LED's. Once again this is all my own opinion, take it with a grain of salt...I'll try to get better pics later tonight

thanks for the write-up.....ordering the Tantrumwerks ones now...
don't mind that they don't illuminate as much as the SPP ones. Just want them to last longer (color/tintwise). Those are the blue ones correct?

Yes they are the "blue" ones listed on their site...
yeah I have a feeling they will last long. The Polargs never went bad on me, 6months+ no problems...just when I touched them after such a long time is when they started to flake, which is understandable. I like the color of the LED's a lot better, I just wish they illuminated the housing like the Polargs do. I'm also going to look into a different brand that has two smaller LED lights inside a standard size LED bulb...they seemed to be almost "too bright" when I saw them at a shop called "super autobacs" in HB. Too bad their base is a wedge design and not the base needed for our citylight setup. He said I could find them with the different base online, seached but to no avail.
