Default Tire test in Sport Auto No6/2000 (longish)

Found a comparison test of 9 Performance tires mounted on a 540i in Sport Auto. Dimensions Front 235/40ZR, 18 Rear 265/35 ZR 18.
Criteria were: Dry handling over 3.2Km, Wet handling over 1.5km, Aquaplaning velocity, Noise @ 80 km/h, Wet braking distance from 100 km/h and Dry braking from 100km/h.
The candidates in oder of overall finishing position were: Pirelli PZero Rosso, Dunlop SP Sport 9000, Bridgestone S-02PP, Toyo Proxes T1-S, Yokohama AVS Sport, Yokohama AVS Sport, Continental Sport Contact, Fulda Carat Extremo,BF Goodrich Profiler G, and in last spot the beloved Michelin Pilot Sport.
Depending on ones particular driving style and importance of wet and dry performance, there were significant differences: The Toyo is especially good in the wet, but weak in the dry. The PZero Rosso is surprisingly weak in dry braking, but excellent otherwise. Some of the comments regarding the performance of certain tires seem to relate to the 540i's rear wheel drive layout.
Should anybody require specifics about any one of the tested tires from this article feel free to ask. From my own perspective, the Dunlop seems to be the best all round tire.
