Tool list for DYI Timing belt?
I'm about to do all this......
AWE intercoolers
RS4 oil cooler
crank pulley
seal up the heads, I have all the gaskets
full TB kit
So the question is what tools are NEEDED & what ones are nice?
I'm going to buy the cam bar, not sure what else. Are the cam seal tools really needed?

You *need*
cam lock bar and crank lock pin
That's about it, I've done 8 of them and never used the chopsticks tool. A crescent wrench gets that bolt. Just remember, it's reverse thread.
Obviously, you'll need the regular tools, good set of metric/allen sockets, torx bits etc. Torque wrench too.

1. I can rent you my cam lock bar. 2. Are you going to pull the entire front, or just ...
move it forward into service position.
The tranny cooling lines on a tip are a serious PITA. I was given advice after the fact that would have been helpful.
If you are just going to move the front the clip into service position, then it is a moot point.

We did my tip, then we did a 6spd a few days later. The only major difference was the tranny cooler.
Other than that, the standard procedure applies.
In hind sight, I would have applied a bit of sealant to the water pump gasket but no one seems to recoomend that. Remember that the fan is reverse threaded! The cam pulleys are a bit scary to pop off, we used a gear puller.
Otherwise, have fun.
