Turbo Timer Install...
I have a few quick questions. I contacted Options Online today and was quoted $89 for the HKS TT 4 plus $8 for S&H.
1. Is this a reasonable price?
2. Can I intall the thing (bear in mind, I'm an idiot about such things).
3. If I need to get it installed, what type of shops can do it & who can I trust?
Thanks again for the help.

Yes, yes, car stereo shops... (more inside)
1) Sounds about right. You should get the Greddy one - its red LEDs match your console red! and its also a bit more 'subtle' than the HKS one - It takes people a minute to notice the greddy one I have in my dash 'cuphole'. I just did a search on the internet and found a few places selling for less than $100.
2) it's not difficult, but takes a few hours, plus a few more to dismantle and remantle (?!) a few interior panels. I can solder wire to model railway tracks and that's about all. The only tricky bit I came across was finding the 12v common wire in the harness. Did it with a multimeter, pin and pliers. Next time I'll use insulated pliers (zzzzzzstt!).
3) Car electrical/stereo shops. it will cost you a few hours worth of $, but might save you a headache.<p>Darryl Bond
