VAG-COM block 120 logging... did some more runs tonight :-)

gonna do a 3rd gear run tonight..2nd gear gave me wacky numbers
i got the following:
RPM : Torque : HP (RPM*TORQUE)/5252
2000 129.4 49
2440 276.4 128
3120 355.7 211
3920 361.6 270
4640 346.9 306
5440 341 353

didn't think the stock ecu can make 374 hp! it certainly didn't feel like it!
so anyone know how the torque number is derived?
i was logging another block as well so i guess i'll only log 120 and hopefully get more data points
FWIW if you're near SFO...the exit to 380/280 as your leaving the airport turns into a long above-the-freeway straightaway that should allow one to do a 3rd gear run "safely"
i'm actually kinda excited to do some more logs...91 vs 100 octane, stock plugs vs. bosch platins, etc etc. just hope that i don't get screwy numbers w/a 3rd gear run, too, though

Cool deal... yeah... 3rd is better than 2nd for a couple reaons...
* 2nd gear may not give you full boost (by the time it's built, you are already needing to let it vent)
* Since 3rd lasts longer, you get more datapoints.
Definately try to log with only datablock 120 - you'll get a higher sampling rate.. I think I get about 3 samples/sec ?
I'm very curious to know how the car/ECU is gathering/determining the crank torque value! I wonder who might know..
