Insurance is "no fault" so getting his company involved early is the way to go. ..
They'll fix it no matter what and they'll worry about lawyers to go after the Valet's insurer should they not pay.

Anyone ever try to convince a valet that the car is hard coded to your voiceprint...
and you are the only one who can start it, so valet would be useless? The valet has no choice but to beleive you, you're not going to waste your time showing it to him, so he's got to take it as the true. A little wacky I know, but it would get you out of all valet situations.

No offense, but why would valet your car?
Have you ever observed a valet before? I valeted for 2 years. It isn't pretty. The type of damage you are talking about is clearly from some kind of joyriding that got out of control. Or they just ran it into a wall in the garage.
Valets are kids. They don't give a **** about anything and you trust them with your car. I'm sorry this happened, but what else can you expect?

Follow up...
Well, I spoke to the general manager of the service and here's the deal:
1. Paying for the tow (flatbed of course!) to Autometric in Royal Oak (the best body shop chain in the metro-Detroit area)
2. Paying for all of the damaged parts as well as any other "things" that may be wrong (CE light, washer pumps, etc...)
3. Paying for a parking permit at the structure next door (until my company moves out of the building in June)
4. Given a company loaner = Black V6 4motion Passat
I was pretty pissed about my baby, but the valet company has done a really good job with customer service. I also talked to the guys at the body shop and it looks like I'll be getting an RS4 bumper installed rather than the stock (JoshD I'll be emailing you son ).
