wonderful thing, many diesels have them. not widely used on gas engines though
and really no aftermarket offerings for gas applications either.
IIRC there were a few gas turbo cars in the 80s that used them with limited success.
I believe the 997 turbo uses VNT turbos as well

Previously to costly to develop for gas. 997 has a big head start. More...
