Default A video of me going around Thunderhill...

excuse the crappy line and loud squealing, that was when I had re040s. I promise I'll do better next time. :P

http://www.insync.net/~b3n/s4_thunderhill.mpg

Default damn I wish you could disconnect the RV mirror like the M3 can. Also..

think that avant was chipped? =;P

sounded like some serious Sandblster when he went past you towards the end.

Is that the line around T. hill?

Default smooth driving...

Next time you might wanna try taking a later turn in and stand on the gas right before the apex. Let the AWD work a little.

Default Yep, I've learned a lot since then, that was about 3 months ago...

Now after watching footage from that day, I was turning in too early at times. Also, my turn in was a little too abrubt on some turns.

Default coool...after the 12 hour I like that track alot more...

someting to think about next time...when you set the car up for two...you are on the short chute between 1 and two...don't COMPLETELY settle the car before turning in...I was able to use the huge friction of the endless turn to slow/turn the car and was able to carry more speed for about 1/2 that turn than nearly any car except those on race tires. Now, I know I said that you don't win a race IN the turns but you can pick up a couple of tenths and reel in someone so that you're in a good position to get them when you eventually get into a passing area (several turns later).

So for the first 1/4 of the turn you will have the car balanced but will be rolling off the throttle so the understeer should JUST be matched by the deceleration caused by turning.

Some RWD cars spun trying to stay ahead of me here (3 of them actualy)...I still don't feel I have that track nailed but there's my one tip for turn 2.
