Default Well i'm sure this request will go over like a brick isht house..... Need to know alarm module locat

ion...

Yes i STFA, and all i can find is the sensor module under the back seat, I have my new DEI alarm all completely installed except it is not integrated with the factory alarm (it can be if i can find the bitch) it's basically as good as an aftermarket system can get... - All my install "guides" say one of two things...

1. under the back seat... well crap if it's there i'm retarded, all I see is the sensor module and the ESP module

2. In the bottom part of the trunk on the passenger side... WTF?

I even looked over by the amp, am I just totally missing it? I realize we're not about sharing security information here but it sure makes it hard to learn

If someone is will to email me just reply and I'll give you an email address from an uber respectable company or am willing to have you call me instead...

Where can i get a wiring schematic or something... This is super foreign to me, I'm used to being able to find practically anything I need to know in just a few goog/stfa's away...

Thanks - Zach

Actually, that's a rare question - so don't feel bad for asking. Wish I could help.

Default is that vaccum pump/module all in one responsible for the arming/disarming of the security system?

and locking/unlocking etc? If so where can i find a schematic - I am replacing an old *** clifford install and it's clearly got a wire running there, just no clue what that wire was doing so not sure where to connect it on the new DEI box.

some how the old alarm was also activating the factory alarm, which I am assuming it is doing using that lead...

Default It does use a vacuum system for the locks and unless I'm mistaken...

the alarm system is integrated into the module. The module costs around $500 from the dealer and you're forced to replace the whole thing if just the pump fails.

Default vacuum leak

You might have a small vacuum leak. Maybe you should check the lines. On a type 44 I had a vacuum line fail when it came in contact with some leaking battery acid. Battery was under the back seat. Replaced the line and it worked like new.

Default there are some good schematics in the bentley manual

the ignition is interlocked by the factory alarm system and by the clutch switch (or Park/Neutral for Tips). I believe that module contains everything for the locking & alarm system. I would advise asking around offline for more info on the security system...we won't post up too much info on a public forum.
