what car would you buy today for 35k or less if you had to replace your S4?

With a house purchase having been delayed by the stock market bust, I would pocket the cash from the S4, and delay buying anything short of a reliable beater for the time being.
Since I already have the S4, I'll hold on to it and enjoy it...however if it was gone tomorrow, I don't think I would replace it.

996 if I could find one that low, and not have to worry about "issues"
a friend in raleigh found one at that price, they had to go to Texas to get it, but AFAIK they haven't had any problems with it. Aero kit, too, yummy!
