what happens when the alcantara gets wet? during raining days, will it ruin the alcantara?

Anyway, no, aparently we've had a super-size orange soda dumped on it, I dumped a starbucks coffee, someone else dumped a dew on it. It seems the alcantara takes a lickin and keeps on tickin' as they say.
