What price range am I looking at to build the engine (atleast rods) to handle 500-600whp?

I'm just curious. I've been floating with the idea lately of maybe making this the play toy and not buying something else to tinker with.

Default $1200 for rods, stock pistons, $1000 for some head work/cams

$1000-2500 for install

I am building a nice little motor right now to pop into my WB sedan, should be nice and reliable at higher power levels.
