Will the VIN come?
I ordered my car on January 15th, 2001. Currently my car is in manufacturing status. Does it take about four months from order to finished production and VIN number? I want to arrange my financing at least two weeks in advance plus give the VIN to my insurance agency.

Mine did...
Ordered on January 20 (or so) and got my VIN 10 days ago. At that time the car was in "waiting for boat" status and is expected here before May 1st.
For comparison, my A4 was ordered on April 21 and was delivered on August 20, 1998.

This is so weird. I just got a call while I was in my first class this morning with the VIN (left in my voicemail) the day after I posted asking about the VIN! Is yours still waiting for the boat? Maybe both of ours are coming over together...I was hoping I wouldn't get the car until AFTER I had graduated. Must... focus...on...classes.
